Having had a keen interest in Marvel's Cinematic Universe I was less than thrilled when I was invited to visit the set of the latest DC offering and my less enthusiastic colleague was awarded the golden ticket to the Black Panther premiere.

As anticipated I was barely able to muster any enthusiasm for the set visit (my mildly biased report will be printed next Wednesday) but I have to share with you what may be the single most thrilling experience of my life and grudgingly report that it happened on the set of a D.C movie...

As I feigned disinterest and angled towards the catered Supper buffet I bumped into an equally hungry predator who immediately apologised and watched my face change and freeze in an involuntary look of awe and surprise. 

I stammered like a small girl at a Justin Beiber meet and greet and promptly shook my head by way of humbled apology and mortification.

To my utter horror I had been in competition with Will Smith for the tasty looking pasta dish and as he reached for a plate and began to serve himself (Yes! even the great Will Smith serves himself) his head was stuck in place watching my frozen expression... As a response to the award hilarity of the moment the legend himself broke into song... Supper supper supper time, he sang to the tune of his Summertime hit. A chorus erupted around us and a throng of voices joined the improptu rendition. 

I made my excuses as Mr Smith withdrew to a nearby table.

I cannot tell you how the pasta tasted and I remember very little of the set visit but what I can faithfully report is that Mr Will Smith became my idol on my first viewing of a Fresh Prince repeat and remains to this day the only star to ever render me incapable of forming a sentence.
