An ecological house that is, what it is ? Simply a home that makes maximum use of the resources of its environment, in order to reduce, or even eliminate, their energy consumption, minimize its impact on the environment, and ensure that its inhabitants feel well without wasting !

The principle is simple : we will provide the maximum protection from the wind, use the sun to maximum in winter, and, on the contrary, protect against it in summer. Thermal comfort is at the heart of the concept of a bioclimatic house. Our ancestors already knew that it was necessary to minimise openings to the north, protection from the wind (hedges, embankments, a lean-to shed attached to the house side to the wind, or simply because of the shape of the house), well-isolating, and especially the use of materials that have good thermal inertia. But the houses bioclimatic modern go well beyond those recipes big daddy : We can now build passive houses, i.e. which do not need heating, and even homes to energy positive, producing more energy than they consume !
