Success may be the achievement through or without efforts a goal that you set or someone else set for you. Success can be acknowledged by your peers, parents, friends, teachers or by yourself. 
Let me illustrate success for pupils/sudents. You decide to learn English irregular verbs and managed to learn them my heart. You achieved this goal and reached success.
